Jacquemus
Jacquemus is a French fashion label founded in 2009. The brand is known for its designs that play with unique proportions, sensual silhouettes, and distinctive accessories, such as the “Le Chiquito” bag, which has become an icon in the fashion world. The brand’s designer, Simon Porte Jacquemus, draws inspiration from art and life in his hometown in the south of France.
A few years after its founding, Jacquemus began to gain significant popularity. In 2012, Jacquemus was invited to present its collection at Paris Fashion Week. In 2015, the brand was nominated twice for the LVMH Prize and won the Special Jury Prize. Beyond critical acclaim, Jacquemus also received widespread global recognition, including from celebrities such as Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.
In 2019, Jacquemus—previously focused solely on womenswear—expanded its collections to include menswear as well. In the same year, the brand decided to slow down its production cycle, contributing to sustainability by presenting women’s and men’s collections only twice a year.
