Mandarina Duck
Mandarina Duck is an iconic Italian fashion brand, founded in 1977 in Bologna by two entrepreneurs, Paolo Trento and Pietro Mannato. Over the following decades, the brand grew rapidly, opening numerous stores and expanding its product lines to include eyewear, watches, fragrances, and even special-edition mobile phones. In 2011, Mandarina Duck was acquired by the Korean group E-Land, which later supported the global relaunch of the brand.
Mandarina Duck is best known for its collections of high-quality travel bags (luggage) and accessories. From the very beginning, the brand stood out for its use of vibrant colors, functional designs, and innovative materials, a bold approach in a luggage market that was, at the time, dominated by conventional leather tones and monotonous colors. Mandarina Duck’s design philosophy is heavily inspired by the mandarin duck, a migratory bird known for its brightly colored feathers; this symbol reflects the spirit of travel, freedom, creativity, and durability, the core values of the brand.
