Valentino Garavani
Valentino Garavani is an Italian fashion designer renowned worldwide. He was born in 1932 in Voghera, Italy, and began his career in fashion in the 1950s before establishing his own fashion house in the 1960s. Over the decades, Valentino grew rapidly, opening boutiques around the world and introducing a wide range of collections, including clothing, accessories, and fragrances.
In 2007, Valentino Garavani announced his retirement from the fashion house he founded, after which the brand was acquired by Qatar-based investment firm Mayhoola for Investments. Following the change in ownership, the house of Valentino underwent several creative shifts, including the appointment of Pierpaolo Piccioli as creative director.
Piccioli revitalized the brand with a more modern and contemporary approach, while preserving its signature elegance, beauty, and femininity. He introduced many notable collections, including the highly popular Rockstud line, featuring shoes, bags, and accessories adorned with stud-inspired detailing.
